Art in a Mall
The Rijksmuseum in Holland had an idea: Let’s bring the art to the people and then, hopefully, they will come to see more – at the museum. They took one painting of Rembrandt’s from 1642, “Night Watch” and brought to life the characters in it, placed them in a busy mall and the rest you can see for yourself!

Here’s a link to the actual painting:
Ploughing the land
A husband and wife were driving down a country lane on their way to visit some friends. They came to a muddy patch in the road and the car became bogged. After a few minutes of trying to get the car out by themselves, they saw a young farmer coming down the lane, driving some oxen before him.
The farmer stopped when he saw the couple in trouble and offered to pull the car out of the mud for $50. The husband accepted and minutes later the car was free. The farmer turned to the husband and said, “You know, you’re the tenth car I’ve helped out of the mud today.”
The husband looks around at the fields incredulously and asks the farmer, “When do you have time to plough your land? At night?”
“No,” the young farmer replied seriously, “Night is when I put the water in the hole.”
Excellence
“A firm resolve to succeed seems to shine out of those rare individuals who are able to move well-nigh impossible barriers to potential. This resolve carries them through a multitude of situations and people challenges that to the ordinary person does not seem possible or worthwhile attempting. These rare individuals seem to have entered into a contract with destiny, because they simply refuse to lie down and give up their search for excellence …”
Magic
Magic is making deliberate, calculated actions seem random. – Gus Silber
Without a script a magician is just doing a trick and not performing magic. Without a script there is no respect for the process. Like a comedian who is unprepared on stage … you can only fake it for a few seconds. Without a script there is no magic – there is no soulful laughter – there is no comedy.
The journey …
“In one of the scenes of Ridley Scott’s “Kingdom of Heaven”, a young blacksmith is given the opportunity to join his estranged father on a journey to Jerusalem in the Holy Land. Although Balian (the blacksmith) decides not to take up the invitation, his father gives him simple instructions on how to join them on the journey if he later decides to do so: “If you ever want to find Jerusalem, go to where the men speak Italian, then continue until they speak something else.”
Destiny
“Humankind is given the divine power to decide on the direction of his or her feelings and thoughts. We call that freedom of choice. We may not have control over all situations in life, but we have control of the direction of our feelings and thoughts. Our choices determine our characters and ultimately our destinies.”
